Dialect or Modern Standard Arabic?
For a formal script
Modern Standard Arabic is used across countries in writing, education and formal media. It is a shared register, rather than the everyday dialect of one country.
For everyday conversation
Match the wording to your audience as well as the voice. Dialects differ in vocabulary and pronunciation; choosing a voice alone does not rewrite a formal script into local speech.
Choosing a dialect
Does a country have just one dialect?
No. Country groups help you browse; a voice may carry a more specific city or regional label. Use the individual voice’s label and sample when choosing.
Should I write in dialect too?
If you want conversational wording, write the words you would actually say. Check names, numbers and pauses in the generated audio instead of relying on the voice label alone.
